The 2017 Foursomes Championships will be held on Saturday 18th February (qualifying) and Saturday 25th February (finals). There has been a slight change to the format for this year with only the top 2 qualifying for the net and gross events. Finals will also alter with the gross final held over 36 holes and the net final held over 27 holes.
Saturday 18th February. Qualifying: Top 2 gross scores and top 2 net scores will qualify for the finals.
Saturday 25th February. Finals: Gross finalists will play a 36 hole match play final, off the stick. Net finalists will play a 27 hole handicap match play final.
Given the competition will be played across two weekends players will need to nominate their availability to play on the 25th in order to qualify. A nomination sheet will be available when players register on the morning of the 18th.
Online bookings for foursomes:
As in previous years players will be allowed to play the qualifying competition in a group of six (i.e. three pairings). The booking system only allows members to book in groups of four (i.e. two pairings) however if players wish to play in a group of six only the first four are required to be booked on the booking sheet. The remaining two can simply turn up on the day.
Alternatively, if you are a group of two and are seeking a game you may turn up in the morning and join in with any existing group of four, no online booking will be necessary. The booking sheet will be open 10 days prior (9th February) as per normal.
