Irrigation of Back 9 progress report. The following update is provided re the irrigation issues on the back nine of the course.
The new automated irrigation system installed on the back 9 is not functioning. Several consultants including the initial installers of the system have been engaged to resolve the matter with no immediate success to date.
While we continue to seek a remedy, a short-term solution is being initiated. To enable the immediate solution and overcome issues with aged infrastructure new sprinklers will be installed progressively with work commencing week beginning 23rd January 2023.
It is anticipated this work will be completed within the next few weeks with irrigation initiated progressively on a fairway-by-fairway basis as installations occur. The sprinklers will need to be manually engaged while we investigate the long-term solution.
Further updates will be provided as the circumstances evolve including advising of any possible short-term closures of the back 9 during the process. In any event green keepers will attempt to keep competition days clear.
