Handicap Matchplay - Quarter Finals

Results for the ANZAC Day competition can be found can below. This was round 2 of the Public Holiday Trophy and attracted a great field of 40 players. Round 3 will be held on the Queen's Birthday Holiday on Monday 12th June 2017. Players only need to play in 3 rounds to qualify for the trophy whilst an individual competition is held each day.

Handicap Matchplay First Round Results

From time to time important member notices are placed within the member area of the website which can only be accessed via the link on the home page or the member login page. Within this area important member only notices are located under the "Member Notices" menu, found at the top of the page.

A recent notice has been placed within this section detailing changes to the employment structuring of greenkeeping staff at the golf club as decided by the management committee and which members are encouraged to read. The 2017 Southern Golf Group Mens Pennants competition kicks off in just over a month (28th May 2017) and this season Echunga has nominated for an additional handicap team resulting in a total of 6 teams being placed into the competition (A1, A2, B1, B3, C1 and C2 grades).

This means that we need a total of 42 players EVERY week with additional players as reserves. With the additional handicap team we should also be able to accommodate more of the higher handicap players that are interested in playing in the pennant competition.

As such we would love for as many players to nominate as possible, regardless of handicap. There is now a sign up sheet at the club which you can fill out, nominating which weeks you will be able to play. Whilst preference will be given to those players who are able to commit to every week of the competition with the likelihood of reserves being required each week we encourage everyone to nominate even if they can only play 1 or 2 weeks.

Captain vs Vice Captain trophy

We will also once again be running the Captain vs Vice Captain team trophy as our 2017 Pennant Season warm up on Sunday 21st May @ 9:00 am. This competition will see the Captain and Vice Captain select teams who then play an individual handicap matchplay game against one of the opposition players.

A BBQ will be held afterwards and it is a good day to meet some of the other pennant players as well as have a competitive matchplay game. Further email communication will go out in the future to those players who nominate for pennants about this day and seeking nominations to play.

Results for the competition held on Easter Monday can be found below. This was the first round of the new seasons Public Holiday Trophy with round two to be held on Anzac Day, Tuesday 25th April and with only your best 3 rounds counting members can still join in and be eligible for the trophy.

The competition is held all day but if you do not have a group to join you are welcome to turn up at the club between 8:30 and 9:00 to join the main group.

Easter Monday Results

Qualifiers for the Handicap Matchplay competition and the draw can be found below. Players will be entered into the online booking system with competition to start from 9:00 am on 22nd April.

2017 Handicap Matchplay

Members are reminded that subscriptions for the 2017-2018 golfing season as of 1st April are now overdue.

Unfinancial 7-day members will no longer be able to book themselves or be booked into the online booking system for the Saturday competition whilst all unfinancial members will be unable to sign into the computer in order to enter the Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday competitions.

If you are unfinancial and have been booked in for the 8th April or are subsequently booked in as a guest you will only be able to play and enter the competition if you pay your subs prior to play or if you pay the applicable green fee.
