Important Safety Notice

The Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Act requires the employer to maintain a safe working environment.

The Echunga Golf Club Management Committee expects members to co-operate with this Act to ensure we have a safe working environment for our ground staff.

The main points are as follows:

Green: When the flag has been removed the green is out of play and golfers MUST NOT hit to the green until the flag is replaced.

Fairway & Rough Maintenance: Golfers MUST wait for a grounds staff rough vehicle or mower to pass behind or out of maintenance range before playing their shot. Alternatively golfers may be called on to play their shots by the operator.

Other: In all other situations golfers MUST receive acknowledgement from ground staff who are in range before playing their shots.

Failure to comply with the above procedures could result in prosecution under the Occupations Health, Safety & Welfare Act and also action by the Echunga Golf Club Management Committee.
