Coronavirus

The committee has determined that anyone who has recently returned from overseas or who has flu like symptoms will NOT be permitted to enter the club until 14 days have passed since their return and the symptoms have passed.

All members and guests are encouraged to maintain safe social distancing (which means keeping a gap of about 1.5 meters (5 feet) between you and others, NO handshakes, NO hugging (Ben Slack please note))  and, above all else to WASH YOUR HANDS properly and often.

Changes to the program will be signalled here and the program updated as quickly as we can.

Good common sense approach. Well done.

All members should take this seriously. We have a large percentage of members (me included) who fit the profile of "at risk".

Yes, coming soon to this website and Facebook.

But, in summary - clubhouse closed except for fees, course open. Comps going ahead in a modified format.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to hold off paying yearly fees until we find out what government is going to do as things are changing each day

We have a large insurance bill which comes due in April. We have just paid our affiliation fees and the greenkeepers are still employed.

So yes, from personal viewpoint it does make sense, but the club needs you to pay if you can.

BTW we have extended the deadline for payment till the end of April.

I would think that the Opening Day on Sat week would need to be cancelled or just played as a normal round without the food etc afterwards

Opening day is now a normal stableford, with normal online booking.
Well, that was the case yesterday after out meeting, but the PMs press conference last night may have changed that. Keep monitoring the site. I will try and keep up...

Opening Day should be played as a normal game not a shot gun start. By having a stableford or stroke round instead your not having 100 plus players back at the club rooms at the same time.

It’s hard to keep up with the daily changes with this bloody virus
I have decided to not play Thurs or Sat comps until there is some easing of the virus spread
The age group of most of our members is in the critical area
I hope all stay safe and healthy until the virus is under control
Cheers

Hey a note on your website that the course is closed would have been helpful for 3 of us that made the journey at 6am today. It’s not hard!

I would encourage you to open up to non-members as a regular visitor to your lovely course. Will help my exercise, state of mind and your bank balance.
