MyGolf Junior League 2020
The MyGolf Junior League is designed to:
· give children their first on course golf experience
· keep children involved in the sport beyond the MyGolf skills program
· foster a team element in what is predominantly an individual game.
A shortened course and modified rules assist to create a fun and relaxed environment for participants.
If a junior already has a handicap of 35 or less and is playing regularly on a full course, they would be considered too advanced for this competition.
Golf Australia will provide each participant who attends the final day a medal and certificate with gold medals awarded to winning team members.
Games are scheduled for Sundays 2-5pm and will be held at various locations in the Southen Golf Zone:
Aston Hills GC 18th October
Glenelg GC 25th October
Victor Harbor GC 1st November
Flagstaff Hill GC 8th November
Thaxted Park GC 15th November
Mount Osmond GC 22nd November
This year we have 3 Echunga juniors joining the Aston Hills Team. Thanks to Connor Chant for organising. Good luck team!
School Holidays - Kids come and try golf
Monday 13th December
Thursday 16th December
Wondering what to do with the kids this week?
How about try golf at Echunga Golf Club ⛳

Stage 1 Country Qualifying: 2nd June 2021
(Southern - Barker & Hills) @ Echunga
What a great day!
There were 8 boys competing in the event on Wednesday. The weather was forecast for drizzle but it ended up being sunny and absolutely picture perfect.
The morning started with Mike and Jamie taking the group through short game and then long game drills.
Following recess break, the group divided into two and took to the front 9, modified to average 150m per hole.
All players behaved with good etiquette and sportsmanship. It was very pleasing to see players that do not play regular competition golf try their best and enjoy themselves.
The winner of the day was Lockie Moyse (Mt Barker Primary) with a score of 39, followed by George Walsh (Heathfield Primary) with 41.
The top 5 players qualified for the State finals at West Beach Parks Golf, September 9 & 10 while the other players are on the reserve list.
