Sometime soon, GolfLink will cease to exist.
GolfLink is the system, owned by Golf Australia that manages your handicap and Golf Australia (GA) membership. It is where you get you GolfLink number.
It is being replaced by a system called Golf Connect. And the old GolfLink number is being renamed as GolfID. Your number will not change.
It is expected that very little else will change for existing members logging into our Member Portal (e.g. to make bookings, etc). The Member Portal is under our control and will continue to use the member number (GolfID), as it does now.
But. if you want to log onto the Golf Australia website or use the Golf Australia app (e.g. to view your handicap details online) you will need a valid email address. The email address, as it has been recorded by the club, will become an important part of the confirmation of identity of a member on GA platforms. When a member initially logs in, an email will be sent to the member’s pre-recorded address to verify that it’s the correct person.
Therefore, in preparation, please ensure your email address is correct. To do this, go to the golf club booking page and click the My Details link at the top of the page.
If your email address is missing or incorrect, please contact Ben at the club or call Michael Clark on 0417 083 126 to have it updated.
We will post more updates as we get closer to the cutover.
