Succesful Introduction of Choice of Tees

21/6/2022

Dear fellow members the first multi-tee event went without too many issues.

The naming of the events was initially a bit confusing but hopefully this has now been
corrected. Approximately 26% of men played from the white tees with the balance (bar one)
off the blues. There was at least one SENSATIONAL score.

The structure has been slightly enhanced for future Saturday comps as follows
  • Main comp
    • Blue (Men)
    • White (Men)
    • Red (Women)
    • Yellow (Both)
  • Juniors 9-hole Orange
All these events are available for booking on the club website.

For the time being, the Monthly Medal Stroke rounds will remain as before, all players
playing off the Blue (men) and Red (Women) tees.

Hopefully this will enable everyone to play from their favourite tee.

As you can imagine these changes take a bit of effort so I would like to thank Bill Kidd, Randy Jones VC, Pam
Gray and Ben Slack for there efforts for a seamless transition.

This will be my last Blog for a month or two as I will be losing golf balls around Queensland
instead.

Remember we play golf to have fun
